Payment, refunds and cancellations
One to one sessions, residential courses and Kickstarter courses require a 50% deposit to secure the booking, the reminder is to be paid 48 hours in advance of the course commencing. The Yorkshire Canine Academy has the right to re-arrange the course if payment has not been made, in full, before the proposed start date. Cancellations of behaviour assessments and 121 sessions within 48 hours of the booking are non-refundable. Cancellations within 2 weeks of residential bookings are non-refundable unless under exceptional circumstances. Cancellations within 1 week of Kick starter programmes are non-refundable unless under exceptional circumstances. Any 121 sessions cancelled within 24 hours of the booking, or bookings that are not attended, are lost and are can not be rescheduled. Options and prices sent after initial consultation are valid for a maximum of 3 months.
Online E-Collar Course Refunds
To qualify for the money back guarantee, an email request must be sent to info@yorkshirecanineacademy.co.uk within 6 weeks of the course purchase date. The request must include video evidence of the following steps:
1. Food Motivation Step 1: Dog eating a full bowl of kibble.
2. Charging a Marker: Demonstration of the marker charging process.
3. Low-Level Conditioning Phase: Two sessions using a long line.
4. NAG Phase: Two sessions using a long line.
5. Proofing Phase: One session using a long line.
You must also use one of the E-Collars recommended by YCA (ie. Mini Educator ET-300 or any model of Martin Systems Chameleon).
Please ensure all required video evidence is included in the email to be considered for the money back guarantee.
Safety
Any instances of accident or injury to you or your dog must be reported at the time they occur. Please follow the trainer’s instructions at all times. Please keep your dog on the lead at all time unless told otherwise by your trainer. You are responsible for your dog at all times. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Health and Vaccination
All dogs and puppies must be suitably vaccinated against potential risk of disease, as well as being treated for internal and external parasites. There can be no guarantee that there is no risk of disease at any venue or when in contact with other dogs and equipment (such as toys). It is the owners/handler’s responsibility to ensure their dog is fully protected against the risk of disease. If the owner chooses not to routinely vaccinate their dog this is their choice and the decision is made at their own risk.
Please advise in advance of any session if your dog has been unwell or if they have been in contact with another dog infected with a contagious disease. Depending on the issue, it may be advisable for the session to be cancelled or re-arranged. It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure their dog is fit and healthy for the session.
If your dog has any know allergies or food intolerances, please make me aware before the session and provide your own appropriate food.
If your dog comes into season, please let me know ahead of the session so we can make adequate plans ahead of time.
Marketing/Privacy
The personal information on your booking form will be kept confidential and won’t be passed to any third party. I may send out occasional emails and marketing to the email address you provide. If you would like to opt out of these please let me know.
Photographs and/or videos are occasionally taken during training sessions to be used on Yorkshire Canine Academys social media sites and/or the website. If you do not wish for photographs/videos of you or your dog to be used for marketing purposes, please let me know. Photos and/or videos can only be taken during sessions at the discretion of Yorkshire Canine Academy.
Equipment
Yorkshire Canine Academy will accept liability of any failures of equipment that is provided by the Yorkshire Canine Academy. Yorkshire Canine Academy will not accept liability of any failures of equipment that is not provided by the Yorkshire Canine Academy. Please ensure your dog is dropped off with appropriate fitting equipment including collars, leads and harnesses.
Disclaimer
I make every effort to ensure the safety of both clients and dogs in training sessions. By making a booking with Yorkshire Canine Academy you are accepting that participating in an activity with dogs, children and adults poses a risk of injury to yourself and your dog, and you agree to indemnify Yorkshire Canine Academy for all personal injury and damage to property while attending training sessions.
You agree to assume all responsibility for any risks, injuries and damages, known or unknown, which might occur as a result of your dog attending such sessions. You also agree to make any person who accompanies you to the session (s) or who comes in your place aware that they are there at their own risk. You understand and accept that your dog (and his/her behaviour) remains your entire responsibility at all times, whether or not in the presence of a dog trainer.
